Valencia Basket returns to Roig Arena to host Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv

Valencia Basket men's team returns to Roig Arena to take on Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv (Thursday 8, 8:30 p.m., Roig Arena, M+ Baloncesto) in a game corresponding to Round 4 of the EuroLeague. Unlike last season’s matchup, the taronja side will have the advantage of playing in front of its home fans, with a special access operation in place for the event.

After opening the European campaign with three consecutive victories and coming off a perfect three-win week, Xavi Albert’s men will test their ongoing development against a team featuring arguably the competition’s hottest player. Hapoel has retained a large part of last season’s core while adding high-level talent such as Zach LeDay, Tomas Satoransky, and Jacob Toppin.

Valencia Basket will also have the opportunity to match its best-ever EuroLeague start if it can secure a fourth straight win. The historical record, however, favors the Israeli club, which has won two of its previous three visits to Valencia.

The taronja squad is expected to be at full strength, with Mario Saint-Supéry the only question mark after missing Wednesday’s practice due to a cold.

Valencia Basket currently sits third in the EuroLeague standings with a 3-0 record.
